How Important are the Brake Rotors in Your Car?

Several different components comprised the brake assembly of your car and all of which have a special role and functions. One such important component is your car’s brake rotors. Brake rotors are large metal plates attached to the wheel. The main function of the brake rotors is to act as a grip for the brake pads to latch onto when the calipers apply pressure as the brake pedal is pushed down by the driver. It ultimately slows the wheel rotation and brings the vehicle to a halt. In the normal servicing, the brake pads are usually replaced if worn out far more than rotors and brake calipers. In the normal course, both brake pads and brake rotors get worn out and need to be replaced. However, if brake pads and other parts of brake assembly components become worn out and remain in that way for a longer period of time, the rotors can become damaged and require necessary repair or even the replacement is necessitated when repair of rotors is not possible.   What is the Norma
